Courtney Hodges-Lanius, Head of People & Culture at The XD Agency

Courtney is the Head of People & Culture at XDA. She got her start at XDA in 2014 managing operations in partnership with the finance team and across studios and transitioned to human resources in 2017. Courtney has worked across the company and teams to align resourcing, processes, and people initiatives with the company vision, goals, and objectives. Courtney began her career in the non-profit and religious sectors. After 10 years specializing in support services, religious leadership, and social advocacy, she transitioned to working on organizational effectiveness and development, human resources, and business operations. Courtney has a BS in communications and religious studies from the University of Cumberlands and an MDiv in urban ministry from Mercer University's, McAfee School of Theology. She's an ordained minister, has pursued ongoing continuing education from Emory University specializing in human resources, and is a certified SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

In her free time, she loves an independent film at her local theatre, a long hike, a good book and a great cup of coffee, and playing with her two girls.
